Waterview Loft at Port Detroit Wedding with an amazing couple and the most fun crowd!

I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time. This is my second wedding for this beautiful family, so I knew I’ll be seeing some familiar faces. A few years back I photographed Veronica’s cousins wedding, Marijana, who is the most talented make up artist as well! 

Everything that day was wonderful. Bright, sunny sky, happy people all around me, the cutest and spirited flower girl ) Both Veronica and Mark looked like they’ve come out of a bridal magazine! Veronica, absolutely stunning in her lacy top dress and cathedral veil, Mark in his perfectly tailored tux and a bow tie. 

After the lovely ceremony, we were off to downtown Detroit for more pictures. The Belt and the Guardian Building are always an amazing backdrop. Their venue, Waterview Loft at Port Detroit, is located there too, right on Detroit’s riverwalk. It’s a beautiful space, spacious and bright. The lights reflecting in the river are visible from everywhere. It is charming and romantic day and night. The decor was clean and modern. Candles and lights created a warm ambience. The dance party started with a bang, so much energy. Mark told me he personally picked almost every song for the evenings playlist. What better song to set the tone than Love Tonight by Shouse! I wanted to drop my cameras and join in! The whole day felt like that. Free, fun, joyful and lively. Smiles, laughter and full to the brim dance floor. 

Veronica and Mark, thank you for having me tell the story of the very first day of your union. I am grateful and honored to have spent this time with you both, and your families as well. Your shining personalities and contagious kindness made me feel like I wasn’t working but celebrating with you!
