Imagine a warm October afternoon with moody skies and magical light. Detroit is in the background and Kygo’s Firestone is blasting from the groomsman’s car. Everyone is dancing, laughing, hugging. Val and Joe are in the middle of it all, surrounded by people who love them, just gotten married, having the time of their lives. Belle Isle’s fountain was like lit like a fairy tale for Val and Joe’s fairy tale fall Wedding.

I believe the joy these two had on that day would have prevailed any kind of whether. The day started less the perfect in that sense, cloudy, rainy, windy. Val’s adorable smile did not leave her face. Joe was excited and giddy. So after the beautiful Armenian ceremony, the church doors opened and there it was, the October sun, greeting them as well.

DYC ( Detroit Yacht Club) was our last stop for the day. The sun had done its job and was setting in a spectacular fashion, coloring the rims of the blue clouds in scarlet red. For Val and Joe, I’m guessing.

“Light up the world” Val and Joe! I know you can because I was there and I saw you.
