Belle Isle… What a beautiful location for a 10 year Anniversary session !

What can I say, it was the perfect afternoon. Belle Isle welcomed us with some moody skies and fall colors. 

Melissa and David were game for my crazy ideas, like having Melissa sit on the railing of the bridge or lie down on the fairy tail  grass ( it was chilly!! ) But it was absolutely worth it. And the Canadian Geese flying in my shot was the perfect accident. A friend of mine described these images as evocative, and I absolutely love that description. I am grateful that we had the time to explore the treasure of a place that Belle Isle is, but even more so that Melissa and David trusted me. 

I also want to thank my 12 years old daughter, who assisted me and shot some black and white images ( six and ten on this page) that me proud! 

Finally, for saying goodbye, the view of Detroit’s  skyline from the shore of Belle Isle. Made even better with the vibrant brush of the sunset colors .

I wish I was a better writer, but hopefully my images will tell the story better my my words. Because at the end of the day I strive to tell a story trough light and emotion.
