Backyard Wedding / Bridgette & Carlos

 “We are having a Backyard Wedding!”

   Bridgette said to me on the phone, after changing their date and venue a few times. I knew how mach effort it took for her to have this beautiful event finally come together. And I know how many couples were the Bridgette and Carlos’s shoes. It’s been a challenging year for planing and replanning. But when the wedding finally happens, and its perfect, its hard to imagine it being any other way.

    What I love about backyard weddings is the intimacy and closeness of the couple and the guests. They are all important. Every single one. And get to be a part of it. Even though I only met Bridgette once, we spoke quite a few times. I knew their journey and the uncertainty they had to deal with. I was pretty used to getting a call or text from her here and there. So when I went to Europe to visit my family and I got a message from her that she has had a nightmare and can we talk, I said of course! I am only 7 hours ahead of you and you need Viber )))  

    And because it was a Backyard Wedding we had Woodward! Bridgettes and Carlos’s boy was perfect. Their wedding would not have been the same if it wasn’t for him! Along with Bridgette’s three nieces, they were a constant source of smiles, joy and entertainment. And that was really the feel of the whole day. It was lighthearted, lovely, joyful and fun!

At the end of the night Carlos and Bridgette sent me home with a box of hot pizza, a bottle of red wine and a huge smile on my face.
